    La Republica di Cuba, a distanza di oltre sessant’anni dalla vittoria di Fidel Castro e compagni, rappresenta ancora oggi un’esperienza unica nel suo genere. Anche nel nuovo millennio è il Partito Comunista dell’isola a governare le esistenze dei cubani e a dettare l’agenda politica nazionale e internazionale. Specchio di questa situazione è la recente Costituzione del 2019 che, al netto di nuove istanze e di un certo progressismo, colloca ancora la Repubblica in un immaginario ideale degno della Guerra Fredda: antimperialista, anticolonialista, anticapitalista, terzomondista e, soprattutto, socialista. Facendo un passo indietro fino agli anni Settanta verranno analizzate le due Costituzioni emanate sotto la guida del Partito e le importanti riforme a quella del 1976. Lo scopo è accompagnare lo studio delle principali vicende vissute da Cuba negli ultimi decenni con quanto scritto nelle Carte fondamentali riguardo esclusivamente ai rapporti internazionali in esse sanciti. In chiusura, si prova ad ipotizzare quale futuro suggerisca il costituzionalismo rivoluzionario per il popolo cubano.

    The Republic of Cuba, more than sixty years after the victory of Fidel Castro and comrades, still represents a unique experience. Even in the new millennium, it is the island's Communist Party that governs the existences of Cubans and dictates the national and international political agenda. Mirroring this situation is the recent 2019 Constitution, which, net of many new instances and a certain progressivism, still places the Republic in an ideal scenario worthy of the Cold War: anti-imperialist, anti-colonialist, anti-capitalist, third-worldist and, above all, socialist. Stepping back to the 1970s, the two Constitutions enacted under the leadership of the Party and the important reforms to that of 1976 will be analyzed. The purpose is to accompany the study of the main events experienced by Cuba in recent decades with what is written in the Basic Charters regarding exclusively the international relations enshrined in them. In closing, an attempt is made to speculate what future revolutionary constitutionalism suggests for the Cuban people.
