Resumen de Alfons X, Jaume I, Múrcia i el món aragonès

  This article presents two important and interrelated topics during the reign of Ja-mes I. Firstly the always difficult relationship between the Aragonese of that period and much of the current bibliography on the king. This is why the work begins in the early years of the monarch called the Conqueror and ends in the later years when he conquered Murcia, which, until then, belonged to Castile, after the Islamic revolt against Alfonso X the Wise. Secondly, although the question is well known, we speak of the generally more complicated than favou-rable links between the father-in-law and the son-in-law, which are Jaume I and Alfonso X. These links can be observed at two different points in time. First of all, it was the request made by Alfonso X to have Xativa as a dowry for his wife Violante of Aragon, which was denied by James I. Many years later, the recovery of Murcia by the Conqueror finally won the affability of James I and Alfonso X, despite the persistent conflict, here too with the Aragonese.

  Aquest article vol presentar dos temes importants en el regnat de Jaume I que en el fons queden vinculats. En primer lloc, la relació sempre difícil entre els aragonesos d’aquella època i gran part de la bibliografia actual respecte al rei. Per això el treball comença en els primers anys del Conqueridor i acaba en els darrers quan aquest conquereix Múrcia, que pertanyia a Castella, després de la revolta islàmica contra Alfons X el Savi. En segon lloc, tot i que la qüestió és ben coneguda, es parla dels vincles, en general més complicats que no favorables entre el sogre i el gendre que són Jaume I i Alfons X. Uns vincles que es veuen en dos moments de temps diferents. Abans de tot fou la petició que fa Alfons per tenir Xàtiva com a dot de la seva esposa Violant d’Aragó, negada per Jaume. Molts anys després la recuperació de Múrcia pel Conqueridor que aconsegueix al final l’afabilitat de Jaume I i Alfons X, malgrat la conflictivitat persistent aquí també dels aragonesos.
