Resumen de Nuevo enfoque metodológico para el análisis del riesgo de liquidez en el Banco de Crédito y Comercio de Cuba

El artículo expone la necesidad y conveniencia de realizar un análisis del riesgo de liquidez en la actividad bancaria para evitar los efectos adversos y tomar decisiones pertinentes. Este análisis permitirá a las sucursales bancarias medir los recursos financieros que se disponen para cumplir con la exigibilidad de los pasivos de los clientes que depositan sus ahorros en las cuentas bancarias, así como la utilización de diferentes indicadores que evalúen la liquidez financiera; además, el uso de flujos de efectivos reales y proyectados, brechas de liquidez, pruebas de tensión que permitan detectar las principales insuficiencias en la actividad financiera que afecten el cumplimiento de las obligaciones contractuales previstas. Con este objetivo, primeramente, se identifican los aspectos conceptuales relacionados con la materia investigada, y luego se expresan las principales ventajas que ofrece este tipo de análisis para las instituciones bancarias.

The article expounds the need and convenience to accomplish a risk analysis of liquidity in the banking activity to avoid the adverse effects and to take pertinent decisions. This analysis will allow branch banking measuring the financial resources that are arranged as a mere formality with the customer’s liquidity of the liabilities that they deposit his savings in the bank accounts, as well as the utilization of different indicators that evaluate the financial liquidity. Besides, the use of flows of real and projected cashes breaches of liquidity, tensile proofs that they enable detecting the principal insufficiencies in the financial activity that they affect the fulfillment of the foreseen contractual obligations. With this in view, firstly they identify the conceptual aspects related with the investigated matter, and next they express the principal advantages that this type of analysis offers for the banking institutions.
