Resumen de La participación equitativa en el alumnado de educación básica desde la mirada de género

En el ámbito escolar es necesario evidenciar las diferencias de género que limitan la participación equitativa entre niñas y niños por lo que configura una problemática para lograr la igualdad de género en la educación. Por ello se realizó una investigación cualitativa con el método de investigación acción, a través del análisis de artefactos, con énfasis en la implementación de estrategias que favorezcan la participación equitativa en el alumnado de quinto grado de educación primaria. Se obtuvo un aumento significativo en la participación del alumnado con disminución de las barreras de género gracias al fortalecimiento del autoconcepto, interacciones sociales, espacios de diálogo y toma de decisiones colectivas. Resulta necesario reflexionar y transformar la práctica docente tradicionalista y estereotipada por el género, así como también la cultura escolar y actores educativos, que limitan el potencial del alumnado y su participación equitativa en el aula y la escuela.

In school, it is necessary to highlight the gender differences that limit equitable participation between girls and boys, and thus it sets a problem for achieving gender equality in education. This led to a qualitative research with the action research method, through the analysis of artifacts, with an emphasis on the implementation of strategies that favor equitable participation in fifth-graders of primary education. A significant increase in student participation was achieved with reduced gender barriers through the strengthening of self-concept, social interactions, dialog spaces and collective decision-making. It is necessary to reflect on and transform the traditional and gender stereotyped teaching practice, as well as the school culture and educational actors, which limit the potential of students and their equitable participation in the classroom and school.
