  En Cuba estudios del comportamiento de los indicadores de extremos térmicos han revelado tendencias crecientes de eventos extremos cálidos y decrecientes a los fríos en la mayoría de las estaciones meteorológicas analizadas. Esta investigación se plantea como objetivo analizar los cambios en la tendencia de dichos indicadores y su relación con algunos factores y elementos del clima en la región central de Cuba durante el período 1980-2017.

  In Cuba, the studies related to the behavior of the clim´atico extreme index of temperature have revealed an increasing trends of extreme hot events and a decreasing in cold ones in most of the meteorological stations analyzed. The objective of this research is to analyze the changes in the trend of these index and their relationship with some factors and elements of the climate in the central region of Cuba during the period 1980-2017. The RClimdex extra-QC program was used to calculate the index. The results show a general increase in the magnitudes by decade of warm days and nights, and tropical nights; while cold days and nights and the diurnal temperature range showed a decrease, with statistically significant trends in some stations. In addition, significant correlations were obtained between these index and some factors and elements of the climate.
