  El cálculo de los indicadores propuestos por el Grupo de Expertos en Detección de Cambio Climático e Indicadores incluye un minucioso proceso de control de la calidad de las series diarias de lluvia, temperatura máxima y temperatura mínima. Una vez concluido este proceso, los datos deben ser sujetos a una prueba de homogeneidad, dejando para el análisis sólo las series de datos que contienen información únicamente debida a las variaciones del clima y están libres de alteraciones en las mediciones debidas a otras causas.

  The calculation of the indicators proposed by the Group of Experts in Detection and indicators of Climate Change includes a meticulous process of quality control of the daily series of rainfall, maximum temperature and minimum temperature. Once this process is completed, the data should be subjected to a test of homogeneity, leaving for the analysis only the data series that contain information only due to climate variations and are free from alterations in the measurements due to other causes. The objective of this work is to control the quality and homogenization of the climatic series that will be used in the calculation of extreme indicators of climate change in Cuba in the period 1980-2017. The analysis was carried out for a total of 33 meteorological stations and used the RClimdex-ExtraQC and HOMER software for quality control and homogenization respectively. The results amply show the usefulness of these tools in the processing of climatic series of rainfall and extreme temperatures
