Resumen de La escuela y sus emociones en la memoria de Jesús Solís de la Torre (1947-1958)

La escuela es un espacio donde no solo se aprenden conocimientos, sino también se comparten subjetividades y se construyen emociones en un proceso de interacción complejo que forma parte de lo que se ha denominado como cultura escolar (Escolano, 2022). Ahí entran en juego saberes, prácticas, dispositivos disciplinares, códigos morales, deseos y aspiraciones, materiales y espacios que, en acción, producen, reproducen, legitiman o sancionan conductas y afectos, los cuales sirven para orientar la acción social. Asumiendo lo anterior, en este trabajo nos preguntamos: ¿Qué tipo de emociones produjo en el estudiante la escuela a través de sus espacios, maestros, libros, materiales, etc.? Para responder a lo anterior recuperamos la memoria de J. Jesús Solís de la Torre, quien fue estudiante en las décadas de los cuarenta y cincuenta del siglo pretérito. A través de la entrevista en profundidad, indagamos en su pasado para recuperar una parte (la infancia) y un aspecto (el escolar). A partir de lo que él recuerda y significa, identificamos las emociones, tanto positivas como negativas, para tratar de dar cuenta del papel que estas jugaron en su formación como persona.

The school is a space where not only knowledge is learned, but also where subjectivities are shared and emotions are built in a complex interaction process that is part of what has been called school culture (Escolano, 2022). There, knowledge, practices, disciplinary devices, moral codes, desires and aspirations, materials and spaces come into play that, in action, produce, reproduce, legitimize or sanction behaviors and affections, which serve to guide social action. Assuming the above, in this work we ask ourselves what kind of emotions did the school produce in the student through its spaces, teachers, books, materials, etc.? How are those emotions from the past remembered and told in the present? To answer the above, we intend to recover the memory of J. Jesús Solís de la Torre, who was a student in the forties and fifties of the last century. Through an in-depth interview, we investigate his past to recover a part (childhood) and an aspect (school). From what he remembers and means, we identify the emotions, both positive and negative, to try to account for the role they played in his formation as a person.
