    El presente articulo inaugura una serie de cinco contribuciones en torno al alcance y los límites del programa de naturalización del idealismo trascendental. Se inicia con una primera parte, a modo de prólogo “de tricentenario”, que incluye la descripción del pro-yecto y el marco historiográfico-temático. En la segunda parte se empieza por repasar las principales modulaciones del concepto de materia en la obra pre-crítica. Seguidamente se aborda las razones que movieron a Kant a transitar del concepto ontológico (fase pre-crítica) al trascendental (fase crítica) y, finalmente, a ir más allá con una noción trascendental-meta-física (Opus postumum). En el tercer apartado se investiga una pista hasta ahora desatendida: las convergencias entre la noción kantiana de protomateria y la corriente filosófica que desemboca en la doctrina de las afinidades expuesta por Suárez.

    This article inaugurates a series of five contributions around the scope and limits of the naturalisation program of transcendental idealism. It starts with a first part, as a “ter-centenary” prologue, which includes the description of the project and the historiographic-thematic framework. The second part begins by reviewing the main modulations of the con-cept of matter in pre-critical work. It then deals with the reasons that moved Kant to change from the ontological concept (pre-critical phase) to the transcendental (critical phase) and, finally, to go further with a transcendental-metaphysical notion (Opus postumum). In the third section, a hitherto neglected clue is investigated: the convergences between the Kantian no-tion of proto-matter and the philosophical tradition that leads to the doctrine of affinities ex-pounded by Suárez.
