  • The article examines the origins of the painting of a music stand by Roger Hilton. Topics discussed include insight into Hilton's artistic interests on his move into abstract painting, another stand painted by Hilton that depicts a female nude with long hair and identification of Hilton with a general field of cultural values celebrating joy, enchantment and authenticity in the making of art.
