    Hace un año y medio que, por decisión del Consejo Directivo de la Universidad, se puso en mis manos la orientación de los destinos de esta joven Facultad de Medicina.De pocas cosas he sentido temores y a muchas me he enfrentado con todo el empeño y entusiasmo. Son las razones por las cuales acepté el reto de dar nuevos rumbos a nuestra Facultad, dispuesto a responder por lo que esta porción de la sociedad exige.

    A year and a half ago, by decision of the Board of Directors of the University, the orientation of the destinies of this young Faculty of Medicine was placed in my hands.Few things have I been afraid of and many I have faced with all the effort and enthusiasm. These are the reasons why I accepted the challenge of giving new directions to our Faculty, ready to respond to what this portion of society demands.
