Resumen de El caso de infecciosas: Hepatitis B y artrosis bilateral de rodillas

  Se reporta un caso de Hepatitis B, en un médico interno. Después de 7 semanas de ictericia desarrolló artritis bilateral de rodilla. Los hallazgos histopatológicos, el aumento de los niveles del complemento y la presencia del antígeno de la hepatitis B en el líquido y tejido sinovial, sugieren un daño por el virus, pero no por inmunocomplejos. Se realizó una revisión de las manifestaciones extrahepáticas y diagnóstico.

  A case of Hepatitis B, in an intern doctor is reported. After 7 weeks of jaundice he developed bilateral knee arthritis. The histopathological findings, the increased of the complement levels and the presence of the Hepatitis B antigen in the synovial fluid and tissue, suggest a damage by the virus but not by immune complexes. A review of the extrahepatic manifestations and diagnosis was made.
