    El objetivo de esta investigación es develar las necesidades de apoyo de madres, padres o cuidadores en estudiantes con Trastorno del Espectro Autista en las comunas de Temuco y Padre las Casas. La investigación es cualitativa con un diseño de estudio de casos múltiples. Los participantes fueron seleccionados de manera intencionada y corresponden a 10 padres, madres o cuidadores, casi en su totalidad del género femenino. El instrumento de recogida de información fue un guion de entrevista semiestructurada la que fue codificada por medio de software de estadística cualitativa. Como resultados se obtuvieron factores socioculturales, de salud, tanto física y mental, y apoyos pedagógicos necesarios para desempeñar su labor, indicándose que existen diversas necesidades que se manifiestan principalmente en el área de salud y el desconocimiento de posibles apoyos que podrían recibir para poder alivianar su carga. Dichos resultados son consistentes con estudios previos en este campo y resaltan la imperante necesidad de apoyar a madres, padres o cuidadores mediante una red que les entregue los conocimientos y herramientas para abordar eficazmente esta importante tarea.

    The objective of this research is to reveal the support needs of mothers, fathers or caregivers in students with Autism Spectrum Disorder in the communes of Temuco and Padre las Casas. The research is qualitative with a multiple case study design. The participants were intentionally selected and correspond to 10 fathers, mothers or caregivers, almost entirely female. The data collection instrument was a semi-structured interview script which was coded using qualitative statistical software. As results, sociocultural, health factors, both physical and mental, and pedagogical supports necessary to carry out their work were obtained, indicating that there are various needs that are manifested mainly in health and the lack of knowledge of possible supports that they could receive to alleviate Your load. These results are consistent with previous studies in this field and highlight the prevailing need to support mothers, fathers or caregivers through a network that provides them with the knowledge and tools to effectively address this important task.
