Entre os séculos XIII e XIV emerxeu en Compostela e Pontevedra unha potente figura, responsable nos procesos de consolidación de dous conventos femininos galegos, Santa Clara de Pontevedra e Santa Clara de Santiago. O seu rastro nas doazóns a estes conventos permite albiscar o poder e iniciativa económica dunha muller pertencente a un dos núcleos familiares máis importantes en Galicia no século XIV como eran os Moscoso e os Ulloa. A construción dun baños públicos en Pontevedra supón o reflexo dunha mentalidade que se afasta da imaxe rendista de moitas familias nobres. A través dos documentos de Santa Clara de Pontevedra, dona Maior Pérez mostra a súa capacidade de xestión non só realizando doazóns ao convento senón tamén na orixe dos seus bens a través da súa adquisición por compras, o que permite intuír a organización das súas propiedades.

Between the 13th and 14th centuries, a powerful figure would emerge in Compostela and Pontevedra, responsible for the consolidation processes of two Galician female convents, Santa Clara de Pontevedra and Santa Clara de Santiago.
