  Las capitulaciones matrimoniales son una figura que representa un signo de gran importancia en el matrimonio y su disolución, y a lo largo del tiempo y de la historia se ha utilizado como una figura reguladora de las consecuencias patrimoniales que derivan de la celebración del matrimonio y su disolución, administrando los bienes entre los cónyuges y frente a terceros. El presente trabajo analiza el desarrollo histórico de esta figura y su regulación desde el Derecho romano hasta el Derecho actual mexicano.

  Marriage agreements are a figure that represents a sign of great importance in marriage and its dissolution, and that throughout time and history has been used as a regulatory figure for the patrimonial consequences that derive from the celebration of marriage and its dissolution, managing the assets between the spouses and against third parties. This paper analyzes the historical development of this figure and its regulation from Roman law to current Mexican law.
