Resumen de Empowering futures: A comprehensive study on university education, vocational skills, digital literacy, and career development synergies

Dr. Vimala Venugopal Muthuswamy

  • Educational institutions possess a notable inclination towards delineating, formulating, and nurturing the professional trajectories and real-world experiences of their students. In this particular field, the researcher formulated a model wherein the integration of total quality management in education, job placement, vocational skills, and digital literacy was employed as independent variables. The objective was to examine the influence of these variables on the progression of students’ careers. This study further clarified the role of soft skills development in mediating the relationship between the independent and dependent variables. Additionally, it examined how socioeconomic status moderates the impact of this mediation. The researcher employed a quantitative survey-based research methodology, focusing on university employees in Saudi Arabia. Based on the findings of the data analysis, this study revealed a notable positive influence of solely digital literacy and vocational skills on the progression of one’s career. Conversely, the remaining explanatory variables demonstrated an insignificant impact. The study has provided a comprehensive and thorough analysis of its findings through a detailed discussion, a conclusive summary, and a thorough examination of its limitations in the final section of the research.
