    • Ensuring optimal care for newborns is of utmost importance within the framework of the COVID-19 pandemic. Due to the rapid prevalence of the infectious disease, it was imperative to implement effective precautionary measures in order to safeguard the well-being of newborns. Given the susceptibility of newborns to infections, including the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the implementation of a comprehensive educational programme assumes heightened importance in equipping carers with the necessary knowledge and skills to effectively safeguard these vulnerable individuals from contracting the aforementioned infection. Additionally, the involvement of healthcare professionals and parents is crucial in facilitating their comprehension of the methods for ensuring safety and promoting a healthy environment for newborns. The objective of the study was to assess the efficacy of an educational intervention in the field of neonatal care amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. The study employed a qualitative experimental research design that was intervention-based and prospective. The target population consisted of 60 primiparous postpartum women, who were divided into two groups. The experimental group, comprising 30 participants, received an educational programme on neonatal care during the COVID-19 pandemic. In contrast, the control group, also consisting of 30 primiparous postpartum women, did not participate in the educational programme. A total of three sessions were undertaken, with the initial session being conducted in person, while the subsequent two sessions were conducted virtually. The findings of the study revealed that the educational programme exhibited a statistically significant impact on the provision of neonatal care amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.
