  • Resumen
    • The primary aim of this study was to investigate the efficacy of utilising artistic material experimentation as activities in the modification of aggressive behaviour among children in primary school. The study population consisted of a total of sixty male and female students enrolled in science education programmes at schools affiliated with King Faisal University during the academic year 2022/2023. The research team created a set of tools, which included a skill test and an observation tool comprising twenty behavioural criteria, to assess technical subjects. The study findings indicated a significant improvement in artistic expression, experimentation, and formation scores between the pre- and post-skill tests. Furthermore, the results of the observation card revealed that implementing artistic activities had a positive impact on reducing aggressive behaviour in children, as evidenced by improvements in self-drawing, drawing others, and drawing property. The study revealed that females exhibited superior performance compared to males in acquiring positive behaviour, developing positive feelings towards others, and engaging in cooperative behaviour. Both genders showed improvement in aggressive behaviour through the proposed activities by acquiring skills, knowledge, and demonstrating fair performance. The study suggests incorporating artistic activities that encourage children to experiment with various artistic materials. This can effectively address issues such as boredom, foster a sense of belonging and citizenship within their school and environment, and promote the development of responsibility.
