    El presente texto es una aproximación hacia una propuesta de intervención para sitios arqueológicos en la ciudad de Lima, aplicada al sitio de Cajamarquilla, ubicado en la actual jurisdicción política de Lurigancho, al este de Lima. La propuesta busca integrar este complejo arqueológico a la ciudad metropolitana contemporánea a través del estudio de su historia y la comprensión territorial de su asentamiento, así como de las lógicas urbanas que se han construido alrededor durante las últimas décadas, y que han conformado un tejido social subyacente a las transformaciones físicas del sitio y su entorno.

    El artículo consta de dos momentos: una primera parte aborda la discusión académica y teórica existente en torno a la ocupación e intervención de sitios patrimoniales, cuestionando así la forma excesivamente conservadora con la que se tratan los sitios prehispánicos, y encontrando en la reocupación de la preexistencia una clave para un tratamiento más adecuado, dependiendo de la escala del lugar y su impacto en la ciudad. La elaboración de la propuesta específica, en la segunda parte, está basada en los resultados teóricos hallados: conceptos de conservación de la memoria, del valor de la ruina, reocupación espacial, resignificación cultural y criterios internacionales de preservación del patrimonio edificado, se conjugan de manera holística, abordando el sitio desde todas sus perspectivas, en los aspectos materiales e inmateriales, para un resultado coherente e integral, que beneficie a todos los actores involucrados.

    This text is an approximation to an intervention proposal for archaeological sites in the city of Lima, applied to the site of Cajamarquilla, located in the current political jurisdiction of Lurigancho, east of Lima. The proposal seeks to integrate this archaeological complex to the contemporary metropolitan city through the study of its history and the territorial understanding of its settlement, as well as the urban logics that have been built around during the last decades, and that have formed a social fabric underlying the physical transformations of the site and its surroundings.

    The article consists of two moments: a first part deals with the academic and theoretical discussion that exists around the occupation and intervention of heritage sites, thus questioning the overly conservative way in which pre-Hispanic sites are treated, and finding in the reoccupation of the pre-existence a key to a more appropriate treatment, depending on the scale of the place and its impact on the city. The elaboration of the specific proposal, in the second part, is based on the theoretical results found: concepts of conservation of the memory, the value of the ruin, spatial reoccupation, cultural resignification and international criteria for the preservation of the built heritage, are combined holistic way, approaching the site from all its perspectives, in the material and immaterial aspects, for a coherent and integral result, that benefits all the actors involved.
