Resumen de The evolution of the web from the techno-social perspective and challenges of the educational system

Inés María González Vidal

  • The Internet is a decentralized set of interconnected communication networks, and its most successful service corresponds to the World Wide Web. This work analyzes the evolution of the Web from a techno-social perspective to recognize the new challenges of the contemporary educational system in its relationship with ICT (information and communication technology). With the support of the Prisma method, evolutive stages of the Web are described from a complex perspective based on social theories and new challenges for Higher Education are pointed out. The results show an accelerated development of the Web, a materialized result of social action. A future sensory and intelligent Web is predicted (Web 5.0 and 6.0), determined by the technological advances that will be the key to the growth of the knowledge that is acquired and perpetuated on the Web. Teachers must acquire new digital and emotional skills to face a change in production and innovation models, which will be necessary to strengthen and renew the links between the University and the labor market
