New technological developments have not only introduced changes in the legal, social and political spheres of our lives as citizens, but also new threats in the world of workers’ fundamental rights. Such actions become somewhat invisible to public scrutiny, and therefore the apparent immateriality of the attacks calls for new forms of analysis that require the protection of these rights to be transformed and expanded. When it comes to fundamental rights, it is time to identify the safest way to guarantee them, to use technology as an engine for the democratisation and promotion of these rights, even if this means putting states and the judicial system in check. In this struggle, the state has played and continues to play a key role, which should be strengthened through supranational integration, creating broad global political and democratic spaces for the protection of these rights. This protection is more necessary than ever.
