Resumen de Los entornos emocionales homoeróticos en la cuentística venezolana

La exploración sobre la presencia homoerótica en la narrativa latinoamericana ha crecido. En ese sentido, el presente trabajo tiene como propósito examinar los entornos emocionales que, en algunos mundos ficcionales de la cuentística venezolana actual, se edifican alrededor de la vivencia de la persona ficcional homoerótica. La discusión se ubica en el marco de la crítica ética de la ficción (Booth, 2005), el lenguaje figurado como ruta para la enunciación emocional (Kovecses, 2000) y el componente emocional del texto literario (Bermúdez Antúnez, 2010; 2011). Para este estudio, se analizaron trece cuentos de doce cuentistas venezolanos. Los hallazgos destacan que las personas ficcionales homoeróticas se debaten en tres coordenadas (habitus), las cuales, a su vez, se interpretan a partir de cómo se presenta su entorno emocional. Los mundos ficcionales mostraron, en gran medida, una sincronía en la perpetuación de la experiencia homoerótica en entornos emocionales recurrentemente negativos, por ser un tipo de sexualidad periférica, excluida y no aceptada.

The academic research of the homoerotic presence in Latin American narrative has grown. In this sense, the purpose of this paper is to examine the emotional environments that, in some fictional worlds of current Venezuelan short stories, are configured around the homoerotic fictional person. The discussion is framed by the ethical critique of fiction (Booth, 2005), the debated view of metaphor as an understanding of the world (Kovecses, 2000) and emotion as a key component of the literary text (Bermúdez Antúnez, 2010). For this study, thirteen short stories by twelve Venezuelan storytellers were analyzed. Findings of the research showed that the homoerotic fictional characters are portrayed in three types. The fictional worlds showed a synchrony in the perpetuation of the negative emotional environments of the homoerotic experience. In these short stories, the homoerotic fictional person is a peripheral, excluded and unaccepted kind of sexuality.
