Resumen de Neoliberalismo y repolitización del individuo en el Chile actual

El presente artículo busca explicar la emergencia de las masivas movilizaciones de los últimos 15 años en Chile, a partir de la emergencia del proceso de repolitización del individuo y de la particularización de la experiencia de lucha. Se basa en entrevistas realizadas en el marco de una tesis doctoral a activistas de tres movimientos sociales: el de pobladores por una vivienda digna, el de estudiantes secundarios y el LGBTQ. La cuestión clave es el rol que el individuo juega en estas movilizaciones. La hipótesis que subyace a este trabajo es que las movilizaciones sociales actuales han logrado darse masivamente manteniendo al individuo como eje valórico de este proceso y, de esa manera, superan la aparente dicotomía entre acción colectiva e individualismo. Se pasa de un individualismo como signo de fragmentación social a una repolitización del individuo, lo cual ha implicado una nueva forma de contestación social y de colectivismo que debe tener como punto de anclaje el valor de las subjetividades singulares presentes en el proceso de movilización.

This article aims to explain the eruption of the massive mobilizations in Chile during the last 15 years through the emergence of the process of re-politicization of the individual and the particularization of the struggles' experience. It is based on interviews conducted in the context of a doctoral thesis with activists of three social movements: the movement of pobladores for a dignified housing, the movement of secondary school students and the LGBTQ movement. The key question here is the role that the individual plays in these mobilizations. The hypothesis underlying this work is that current social mobilizations have managed to mobilize massively while maintaining the individual as the value axis of this process and thus overcome the apparent dichotomy between collective action and individualism. In this way, individualism as a sign of social fragmentation has given way to a re-politicization of the individual that has led to a new form of social protest and collectivism whose anchor point is the value of the singular subjectivities that are present in the mobilization process.
