       El Ministerio de Cultura y Deporte ha adquirido recientemente un tapiz titulado El triunfo del Tiempo, datado hacia 1502-1504 y cuyo diseño se atribuye al círculo de Colyn de Coter.  Su compra y adscripción a Patrimonio Nacional ha reavivado el interés por una serie de tapices, de inspiración petrarquiana, que pudieron haber pertenecido a Isabel I de Castilla (1451-1504). En este artículo se aborda la importancia de incorporar esta temática en las Colecciones Reales, se investigan otros paños que pudieron formar parte del conjunto, o se hicieron con los mismos diseños, y se aborda su vinculación con la reina Católica tras el cotejo de la documentación localizada hasta la fecha.

       The Ministerio de Cultura y Deporte has recently acquired a tapestry entitled ‘The Triumph of Time’, dated around 1502-1504 and whose design is attributed to the circle of Colyn de Coter. Its purchase and assignment to Patrimonio Nacional has revived interest in a series of Petrarchan-inspired tapestries that may have belonged to Isabel I of Castile (1451-1504). This article discusses the importance of incorporating this theme into the Royal Collections, investigates other cloths that could have been part of the set, or were made with the same designs, and their relationship with the Catholic queen is discussed after checking the documentation located to date.
