    Nuestra preocupación por la cantidad de residuos (principalmente plásticos) que se generan y acumulan diariamente en nuestros entornos más próximos, nos ha llevado a trabajar estrategias de concienciación para promover la reflexión en materia de reciclaje, favoreciendo la reutilización de estos desechos en las aulas.

    Este proyecto está vinculado a dos conceptos que se trabajan conjuntamente, por un lado, la Educación Ambiental, centrada en valorar la importancia del reciclaje en nuestro entorno educativo, considerando que es un lugar idóneo para llevar a cabo una labor de formación, concienciación y ejecución para fomentar los valores ambientales en los gestos diarios de los estudiantes (3R: reducir, reutilizar y reciclar). Y por otro, la Educación Artística, centrada, en primer lugar, en el Trash art, que nos remite a la posibilidad de crear obras de arte a partir de cualquier residuo o cualquier objeto que comúnmente es considerado basura; y, en segundo lugar, en el patrimonio artístico de Teruel (en este caso el bestiario de la techumbre mudéjar de la catedral de Santa María de Mediavilla), un legado cultural que se debe mantener y transmitir a las siguientes generaciones, dado que es una pieza clave de nuestra memoria colectiva.

    Our concern for the amount waste (mainly plastic) that is generated and accumulated daily in our closest environments, this has led us to work on a strategy to raising awareness to promote reflection on recycling, favoring the reuse of these wastes in the classroom.

    This project is linked to two concepts that work together, on the one hand, Environmental Education, centered on assessing the importance of recycling in our educational environment, considering that is a proper place to give a formation, raising awareness and execution to promote environmental values in students’ daily gestures (3R: reduce, reuse and recycle). Other concept of the project is the, Artistic Education, first it is centered, in Trash art, which refers us to the possibility of creating works of art from any waste or any object that is commonly considered garbage; second it is centered, in the patrimony of Teruel (in this case is the bestiary of the Mudejar roof of the Cathedral of Santa María de Mediavilla), a cultural legacy that must be maintained and transmitted to the following generations, since it is a key piece of our collective memory
