    Resumen El presente artículo tiene como propósitos: 1. hablar acerca del contexto en el cual se origina el problema que se pretende abordar (compresión de lectura a nivel crítico en el aula). 2. establecer los antecedentes de investigaciones y estudios hechos en torno a este problema. 3. Presentar de forma breve los conceptos y teorías que han servido de base a la hora de abordar este problema. 4. Se subrayan algunos aspectos relevantes dentro del artículo a modo de conclusión. Lo anterior es visto desde diferentes perspectivas, las cuales van desde la visión propia del investigador a partir de su práctica docente en el aula hasta, como se ha indicado, precisar los conceptos y teorías que se han llevado a cabo a nivel internacional y nacional sobre el tema, los cuales permitirán hacer un examen juiciosos del problema objeto de este escrito.

    Abstract The purposes of this article are: 1. to talk about the context in which the problem to be addressed originates (reading comprehension at a critical level in the classroom); 2. to establish the background of research and studies carried out about this problem; 3. to briefly present the concepts and theories that have served as the basis for addressing this problem; 4. Some relevant aspects are underlined within the article as a conclusion. The foregoing is seen from different perspectives which range from own vision of the researcher from his teaching practice in the classroom to, as indicated, specify the concepts and theories that have been carried out at the international and national level on the subject, which will allow a judicious examination of the problem that is the object of this paper.
