Dos alusiones inadvertidas a Jenofonte (An. 1, 1, 1 y HG 1, 1, 20) en la Biblioteca de Focio (códs. 57, 72)

    En el estudio de la recepción de Jenofonte en Bizancio, labor iniciada hace algunos años, aún hay aspectos por descubrir, incluso de los autores más trabajados y reconocidos. Entre ellos se encuentra Focio de Constantinopla, autor de la Biblioteca, obra que contiene una importante cantidad de información sobre la Antigüedad que no ha llegado o se ha preservado de forma fragmentaria. Debido a su monumentalidad y gran número de referencias directas de los textos revisados, la atención a las alusiones ha sido exigua, incluso aquellas del período clásico. Así, el presente trabajo busca demostrar la existencia de dos alusiones a Jenofonte en la Biblioteca (códs. 57, 15b; 72, 37a), hasta ahora no consideradas, mediante una comparación de sus elementos lingüísticos y temáticos. Con ello se espera dar nueva luz a la presencia del ateniense en tan significativa obra.

    In the study of Xenophon’s reception in Byzantium, that has begun some years ago, there are still aspects to discover, even from the most worked and recognized authors. Among them is Photius of Constantinople, author of the Bibliotheca that contains an important amount of information about Antiquity that has not arrived or has been preserved in a fragmentary way. Due to its monumentality and large number of direct references to the reviewed texts, attention to allusions has been scarce, even to those from the classical period. Thus, this paper seeks to demonstrate the existence of two allusions to Xenophon in the Bibliotheca (cods. 57, 15b; 72, 37a), so far not located, by comparing their linguistic and thematic elements. With this is expected to shed new light on the presence of the Athenian in such a significant work.
