The aim of the study consisted of evaluating the dynamics of C and N on having added to a soil (S) of the population of Santa Ana, Paraguana's Peninsula, three organic residues: sewage sludge from the lagoon of aerobic stabilization located in the same population (L), a compost obtained of sewage sludge from the treatment of served municipal waters and goat manure (R) and another compost derived from residues of vegetable food and goat manure (A), to dose of 2%. The evaluated treatments, to the moment of the addition and at the conclusion of 30 days, were: SL, SR and SA; including S (0%) as control. The results indicated, in all the treatments, an initial increase of the total content of C and N with relation to the control (%C=1,009;%N=0,423) getting for %C: SL=1,968; SR=1,938; SA=1,966 and for %N: SL=0,862; SR=0,564; SA=0,643, by registering a decrease to 30 days in both parameters, due to the process of mineralization of the organic matter. These characteristics convert to these organic materials into a source of organic alternative matter for the conditioning of this type of typical soil of the semiarid zones of Venezuela.
