The decision by Giovan Battista Filippo Basile, with the collaboration of Michelangelo Giarrizzo, to give life to the illustrativedidactic repertoire of the Basile and Ducrot Collection of boards was born from the desire to express the “history of styles” as a fundamental part of his teaching program of Technical Architecture through significant examples of architecture. The work was aimed to deepen the contents of the illustrative board XIX and helped to clarify many aspects about the teaching methods of Giovan Battista Filippo Basile and the artistic skills of Michelangelo Giarrizzo. It has also contributed to enrich the knowledge about the corpus of the Tables with new acquisitions regarding their total number and the date of realization, the typology of support used and the contribution of the Basile’s assistant in the didactic project.
