In 1765 Paolo Labisi “conceived and outlined” the project of a sumptuous country house for “Mr. baron Gargallo in the feudo del Priolo”. The drawing, unpublished for more than a century and a half, was made known through its only black and white publication in 1934. This contribution proposes a color reproduction of the original drawing, belonging to the private collection of the Gargallo family of Syracuse, in its most recent state of conservation, adding the reading and interpretative analysis of the Labisi’s project, which led to the reconstruction even if only virtual of the space imagined by the architect and to the comparison with the built structure.
