  Expondremos el caso de una adolescente que acude a urgencias del Hospital General con un familiar por presentar dolor en fosa lumbar derecha de 24 horas de evolución.

  A su llegada al hospital no presenta fiebre, pero nos comenta que anteriormente ha tenido picos de hasta 39,5ºC La paciente será vista y tratada en urgencias y posteriormente será dada de alta con próximas revisiones con el Servicio de Urología para control. Tras el alta de urgencias queda pendiente de revisar el resultado de los urocultivos los cuales nos indicarán que la infección del tracto urinario (ITU) ha sido causada por un E-coli.

  We will present the case of a teenager who goes to the emergency room of the General Hospital with a family member due to pain in the right lumbar fossa of 24 hours of evolution.

  Upon arrival at the hospital, he did not have a fever, but he told us that he had previously had peaks of up to 39.5ºC.

  The patient will be seen and treated in the emergency room and will subsequently be discharged with subsequent check-ups with the Urology Service for control. After being discharged from the emergency room, we still have to review the results of the urine cultures, which will indicate that the UTI has been caused by E-coli.
