A partir de un comentario de Falso movimiento Franco Moretti, se comentan los protocolos metodológicos y teóricos del "giro cuantitativo" que él propugnó, así como la mirada crítica sobre el tema que propone su este último libro. Se trata de poner de relieve los imaginarios que circulan en ambas etapas y la dimensión sintomática de esta orientación, de cara a la situación de la historia literaria hoy y, más ampliamente, de la situación social de las Humanidades. La racionalidad extrema y la materialidad de la crítica dejan entrever ideologías y anhelos típicamente contemporáneos.

Based on a commentary on the Falso movimiento Franco Moretti, the methodological and theoretical protocols of the "quantitative turn" that he advocated are discussed, as well as the critical view on the subject proposed in his latest book. The aim is to highlight the imaginaries that circulate in both stages and the symptomatic dimension of this orientation, in view of the situation of literary history today and, more broadly, of the social situation of the Humanities. The extreme rationality and the materiality of criticism give a glimpse of typically contemporary ideologies and yearnings.
