    Este estudio analiza la representación física y simbólica de las mujeres en el teatro español del siglo XVIII y su influencia en la dramaturgia de las tonadillas de Blas de Laserna. Desde una perspectiva semiótica, examinamos la disposición de las mujeres en el espacio teatral, centrándonos en la cazuela de los corrales de comedias, así como en otros espacios que niegan o refuerzan la feminidad. Sostenemos que la configuración simbólico-social de estos espacios se refleja cognitivamente en la obra de arte, generando un sistema semiótico complejo, influido también por la cultura de la época. Nuestro enfoque general se basará en la semiótica de Charles S. Peirce y la semiótica topológica de Algirdas J. Greimas. A través de este análisis, buscamos arrojar luz sobre la relación entre el espacio teatral, las normas sociales y la creación artística, y esperamos contribuir a una comprensión más profunda de la complejidad de la re-presentación femenina en el teatro del siglo XVIII.

    This study examines the physical and symbolic representation of women in 18th-century Spanish theater and its influence on dramaturgy of Blas de Laserna's tonadillas. From a semiotic perspective, we analyze the placement of women within the theatrical space, with a specific focus on the «cazuela» in the «corrales de comedias» and other spaces that either challenge or reinforce femininity.We argue that the socio-symbolic configuration of these spaces is cognitively reflected in the artwork, generating a complex semiotic system influenced by the culture of the time. Our overarching approach is rooted in Charles S. Peirce's semiotics and Algirdas J. Greimas' topological semiotics.Through this analysis, we aim to shed light on the relationship between theatrical space, societal norms, and artistic creation, with the hope of contributing to a deeper understanding of the complexity of female representation in 18th-century theater.
