  • Resumen
    • The present study is concerned with the two-dimensional deformations in a rotating functionally graded (non-homogeneous), fiber-reinforced, transversely isotropic thermoelastic half-space under the effect of magnetic field in the context of Lord-Shulman theory. Material properties are supposed to be graded in x-direction and normal mode technique is adopted to obtain the exact expressions for the temperature field, displacement and stress components. These results are computed numerically and depicted graphically to highlight the effects of fiber reinforcement, non-homogeneity parameter, magnetic field, rotation parameter and time on the variations of different physical fields. Certain particular cases of interest have been deduced from the current investigation.
