En este trabajo se estudiará el pleito que tuvo lugar a finales del siglo XVII entre los capellanes reales de la catedral de Sevilla y los corredores de lonja de la misma ciudad, organizados y articulados alrededor de la cofradía de San Leandro. Aunque sobre todo se discutieron aspectos relacionados con las celebraciones, estaba también en juego la preeminencia efectiva y simbólica de este grupo en un espacio tan importante como la capilla real, sin olvidar el aspecto económico. El episodio cuenta con un expediente propio en el Archivo de la Catedral de Sevilla y suscita un especial interés ya que nos revela las dinámicas de tensión y conflicto que se dieron durante todo el proceso. Se trata pues de una propuesta que estudia las manifestaciones de la conflictividad en el seno de las instituciones y el interés de los grupos por ocupar espacios de importancia en el principal templo de la ciudad.

In this paper we will study the lawsuit that took place at the end of the 17th century between the royal chaplains of the Seville Cathedral and the corredores de lonja ofthis city, organized around the Brotherhood of San Leandro. Although above all aspects related to the celebrations were discussed, the effective and symbolic preeminence of this group in a space as important as the Royal Chapel was also at stake, without forgetting the economic aspect. The episode has its own file in the Seville Cathedral Archives and arouses special interest as it reveals the dynamics of tension and conflict that occurred throughout the process. It is therefore a proposal that studies the manifestations of conflict within the institutions and the interest ofthe groups to occupy important spaces in the main temple of the city.
