El proyecto ilustrado que conformaron las Nuevas Poblaciones de Sierra Morena y Andalucía sin duda representaron las ideas más siderales y arribistas del reformismo borbónico, pero por otro lado, tampoco existe duda alguna sobre la problemática que encontraron los ministros al mando del proyecto repoblador, conformando toda una “oposición política” contra el programa de gobierno que había puesto en marcha el equipo ilustrado en las Nuevas Poblaciones, donde las cuestiones personales entre los grandes puestos administrativos del Consejo de Castilla, finalmente, juegan un papel destacado en la visita oficial de Pérez Valiente. Hechos y hechuras que nacenen el seno político de la Monarquía, y que indudablemente, influyeron en lasdecisiones de un rey absoluto. La motivación de esta nueva visión, centrada en las luchas intestinas y los intereses personales cruzados tan característicos del reformismo borbónico, trata de esclarecer las argucias y artimañas orquestadas desde la oposición política y quienes fueron sus protagonistas. Todo forma parte de la búsqueda constante de la proximidad y el amparo del Rey, de acceder a su Domus Regia. En el siglo XVIII y especialmente en el reinado de Carlos III de Borbón, todo es política.

The Enlightenment project that made up the New Towns of Sierra Morena andAndalusia undoubtedly represented the most sidereal and careerist ideas of Bourbon reformism, but on the other hand, there is also no doubt about the problems encountered by the ministers in charge of the repopulation project, bringing together en masse all the "political opposition" against the government programme that the Enlightenment team had set in motion in the New Towns, where personal issues between the great administrative posts of the Council of Castile finally played a prominent role in the official visit of Pérez Valiente. Facts and deeds that were born in the political heart of the Monarchy, and which undoubtedly influenced the decisions of an absolute king. The motivation of this new vision, centred on the infighting and personal interests so characteristic of Bourbon reformism, is to shed light on the tricks and artifices orchestrated by the political opposition and who theprotagonists were. It is all part of the constant search for the proximity and protection of the King, for access to his Domus Regia. In the 18th century, and especially in the reign of Charles III of Bourbon, everything is politics.
