Resumen de Biblioteca Estelar: un entorno lector

El proyecto que se presenta, firmemente arraigado en la comunidad educativa, percibe el fomento de la lectura como un pilar educativo esencial. Se trabaja para cultivar el valor de la lectura, potenciar la comprensión oral y escrita, y a su vez nutrir estas habilidades para fortalecer la educación en general y la formación ciudadana.
El artículo detalla las diferentes actividades que se llevan a cabo en este sentido. Destaca la importancia de la metodología empleada, el aprendizaje-servicio, que permite la participación directa del alumnado, en la tarea de acercar la lectura a toda la comunidad local.
Por ello, esta iniciativa, que impulsa la lectura como bien común, trasciende los muros del centro educativo y beneficia a la población, que se enriquece en un entorno rural escasamente poblado, con limitados recursos e infraestructuras socioculturales.

The project presented in this paper is firmly rooted in the educational community and considers the promotion of reading as an essential educational pillar. It means to cultivate the value of reading, enhance oral and written comprehension, and in turn nurture these skills to strengthen education in general and citizenship training.
The article details the different activities that are carried out in this sense. It highlights the importance of the methodology used, service-learning, which allows the direct participation of students in the task of bringing reading to the entire local community.
Therefore, this initiative, which promotes reading as a common good, transcends the walls of the educational centre and benefits the population that is enriched in a sparsely populated rural environment with limited resources and socio-cultural infrastructures.
