Resumen de Diagnóstico de potencialidades para el desarrollo del cicloturismo en el cantón Junín, Manabí, Ecuador

  El objetivo de esta investigación es realizar un diagnóstico del territorio que determine las potencialidades del cantón Junín para el cicloturismo. La metodología utiliza la técnica de diagnóstico participativo a fin de identificar sus necesidades y problemáticas y determinar rutas óptimas para posicionar al cantón como potencia cicloturística. Además, se aplican matrices de criterio, se realizan encuestas a clientes y ciclistas, se establecieron reuniones con autoridades municipales, con actores locales y visitas para reconocer la realidad de la fabricación de los principales productos identitarios del cantón, es decir la panela, el aguardiente y los bizcochuelos tostados. El diagnóstico realiza la caracterización ambiental, social, cultural, económica y política del lugar, identifica problemas e inventaría los recursos turísticos mediante el formato actual de las fichas de diagnóstico de atractivos turísticos del Ministerio de Turismo (2017) y con las Fichas de Caracterización Turística de Comunidades de Carla Ricaurte (2009). Se establecen tres rutas idóneas para ciclismo de aventura y la ruta de ciclopaseos vivenciales que presta las condiciones para ser implementada inmediatamente, ya que es de baja dificultad, enlaza los productos identitarios, muestra las bondades paisajísticas de Junín y el contingente y predisposición de los actores del territorio.

  The objective of this research is to analyze the territory of the Junín canton to determine the potentialities to develop cycling activities for tourism. The methodology uses the participatory appraisal technique in order to identify the needs and problems of the canton as well as the identification optimal routes to position it as a major power in cycle tourism. Matrixes and surveys were run, besides meetings with authorities of the Junín canton, local actors. Further, visits to the area of study were run in order to observe the reality of the manufacture of main typical products such as: panela, currincho (distilled alcohol similar to brandy but made of sugar cane) and toasted sponge cakes. The analysis carried out on the environmental, social, cultural, economic and political permitted the characterization of the Canton, it identified problems and compiled an inventory of the tourist resources through the current format of the registration cards for tourist attractions by the Ministry of Tourism and the Tourist Characterization Cards for Tourism Communities by Carla Ricaurte. Three routes were established suitable for adventure and experiential cycling. Bike tours that provide the conditions to be implemented immediately, since it is of low difficulty, links the identity products, shows the scenic landscapes of Junín and the contingent and predisposition of the citizen in territory to start receiving tourists.
