    Tenemos presente tres puntos fundamentales, que serán: Archidiócesis y la creación del Obispado de Huelva, Estructura de la documentación: El Cuadro de Clasificación; y Lepe en su Historia documentada. La documentación de Lepe sale con destino al nuevo obispado de Huelva cuando éste se crea, la Iglesia no respeta el origen de procedencia sino que cuando un obispado se crea la documentación generada en el Arzobispado se segrega yendo al lugar de nueva creación, esto es así para la documentación en expedientes, los libros, como los Libros de Visitas Pastorales, no salen del Archivo General del Arzobispado porque están las visitas unidas en el mismo volumen que las de otros territorios y, además, sería deteriorar el patrimonio documental. Veremos las secciones y series que hoy se custodian en el Archivo del Obispado de Huelva.
