    La función principal del celador de quirófano es la del traslado del paciente desde la habitación hasta el quirófano donde será intervenido y viceversa, ayudando a colocar al paciente en la mesa de operaciones y a colocar los aparatos necesarios para la intervención, como apoyabrazos, perneras, apoyapiés, apoyacabezas, u otros accesorios que se necesiten para dicha intervención.
