This article has as main objective to present an alternative method of the Kundt tube for the study of the phenomenon of resonance with the formation of standing waves and to estimate the speed of sound in air, for each mode of vibration based on theoretical calculations. The fact that the construction of the Kundt Tube is of low cost makes it possible for it to be reproduced by students and teachers of secondary and higher education. An intention of this article is to disseminate and seek among the various studies in the area innovations that allow the diffusion of teaching and learning of physics, as well as using available resources such as integrated circuits and various materials to add even more knowledge in the study of sound waves in the Kundt Tube. The results revealed an estimated value for the sound’s velocity in air close to the reference values, thus validating the proposed experimental apparatus.
