Resumen de Capítulo 1.Miradas sobre las Ciencias Humanas y Sociales en el siglo XXI

En este capítulo se hace un recorrido crítico por los usos que se han hecho de la noción de crisis a lo largo del siglo XX y del XXI, y sus repercusiones en la configuración de escenarios políticos, culturales y sociales. Así mismo, se reflexiona sobre los impactos que estos discursos de la exaltación de las crisis han tenido sobre el quehacer de las ciencias sociales y humanas, especialmente en el escenario institucional de la Corporación Universitaria Minuto de Dios – UNIMINUTO. A partir de diferentes autores de las ciencias sociales y humanas y de informes sobre la situación de las ciencias sociales en la Modernidad, se presenta una perspectiva sobre las condiciones de posibilidad de ejercer el pensamiento crítico con miras a generar transformaciones del mundo de la vida, esto es, en las praxis de las ciencias sociales y humanas en el mundo contemporáneo de las incertidumbres, sobre cómo pensar lo humano y lo social.

A critical review is made of the uses that have been made of the notion of crisis throughout the 20th and 21st centuries and its repercussions on the configuration of political, cultural and social scenarios. Likewise, it reflects on the impacts that these speeches of the exaltation of the crises have had on the work of the Social and Human Sciences, especially in the institut ional setting of the Corporación Universitaria Minuto de Dios – UNIMINUTO. Supported by different authors of the Social and Human Sciences and reports on the situation of the social sciences in modernity, a perspective is presented on the conditions of possibility of exercising critical thinking with a view to generating transformations in the world of life, this it is, in the praxis of the Social and Human Sciences in the contemporary world of uncertaint ies, about how to think about the human and the social.
