    El trasplante de células progenitoras hematopoyéticas (TCPH) consiste en la administración de precursores hematopoyéticos a un paciente que ha sido preparado previamente para ello. En la actualidad se utiliza bien como tratamiento de primera línea o bien como alternativa tras agotar el resto de opciones terapéuticas en diferentes enfermedades hematológicas y no hematológicas. Existen diferentes tipos de patologías que pueden beneficiarse de un TCPH: alteraciones primarias de la médula ósea, hematológicas, inmunológicas, metabólicas y tumorales. En 2020 se llevaron a cabo 22.361 trasplantes en todo el mundo.

    Hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) consists of the administration of hematopoietic precursors to a patient who has been previously prepared for it. Currently it is used either as a first-line treatment or as an alternative after exhausting the rest of the therapeutic options in different hematological and non-hematological diseases. There are different types of pathologies that can benefit from an HSCT: primary bone marrow, hematological, immunological, metabolic and tumor alterations. In 2020, 22,361 transplants were carried out around the world.
