  El experimento de la Unidad Popular y su trágico desenlace fueron objeto de profundo interés y de activa solidaridad por parte de las distintas familias de la izquierda europea. Este trabajo se propone analizar el conjunto de las lecturas y análisis que esos acontecimientos generaron entre algunos de los principales partidos socialistas y comunistas del viejo continente, que en ese momento estaban pasando por una fase de profunda redefinición política. La vía chilena al socialismo y su abrupto fin, abrieron un complejo debate en torno a las lecciones que se podían extraer del caso del cono sureño, cuya brutalidad le dio aún más urgencia.

  The Popular Unity experiment and its tragic outcome were the object of deep interest and active solidarity for the different families of the European left. This work aims to examine the insights and analyses that these events generated among some of the main socialist and communist parties of the Old Continent, which at that time were going through a phase of profound political redefinition. The Chilean path to socialism and its abrupt end opened a complex debate about the lessons that could be drawn from the case of the Southern Cone, whose brutality made it all the more urgent.
