    El presente artículo intenta sistematizar la relación que se establece entre el Rey, el reino, el pueblo y el territorio (en cuanto a deberes y derechos) en el texto de Las Siete Partidas de Alfonso X “El Sabio”. Comienza estudiando las bases de lo que se entiende por “rey” y “reino”, dando una visión orgánica de los cuatro elementos antedichos. Se hace énfasis en la definición alfonsina de “Rey” y en el recurso analógico del “reino” como cuerpo humano y ser vivo. Posteriormente se revisan las relaciones específicas entre: rey y Dios, rey y pueblo, pueblo y Dios y pueblo y rey. Se concluye estudiando la visión de Alfonso sobre la unidad del reino. A lo largo del trabajo se hace presente la idea de vinculación “orgánica” entre los elementos constitutivos del reino, siempre bajo la jefatura del rey, quien es “razón” y “alma” o “cabeza” y “corazón” de dicha entidad política.

    This article tries to systematize the relation that is established among the king, kingdom, people and territory (concerning duties and rights) in the text of Las Siete Partidas de Alfonso X “The Wise”. It begins studying the bases of that which is understood as “king” and “kingdom”, giving an organic vision of the aforementioned four elements. Emphasis is put on the alphonsine definition of “King” and on the analogical recourse of “kingdom” as a human body and as a live being. Subsequently, the specific relations between: king and God, king and people, people and God, and people and king are reviewed. It is finished studying the Alfonso’s vision of the unit of kingdom. Throughout this work the idea of “organic” link is presented among the constituents elements of the kingdom, always under the authority of the king, who is “reason” and “soul” or “head” and “heart” of said political entity.
