    La formación del docente investigador de la carrera Educación Básica de la Universidad Nacional de Educación (UNAE) requiere estudiar el Pensamiento Educativo Ecuatoriano (PEE) durante la trayectoria de aprendizajes correspondientes a los diferentes ciclos académicos. Este artículo forma parte del Proyecto de Investigación: Estudio del PEE en el currículo de la UNAE: Propuesta curricular para la carrera Educación Básica (2022-2024). Plantea el objetivo de determinar los principales fundamentos epistémicos curriculares para el estudio del PEE en la formación del docente investigador de la carrera Educación Básica,  como parte de la propuesta curricular que se entregará a la carrera al culminar el proyecto. La construcción teórica se realiza en el marco de la Filosofía de la educación y las concepciones epistemológicas del currículo del Modelo Pedagógico UNAE (2017). La metodología empleada fue descriptiva con enfoque cualitativo y diseño centrado en el método de análisis cualitativo de contenidos para organizar, interpretar, jerarquizar y reflexionar sobre la información proveniente de documentos históricos, pedagógicos curriculares y de resultados de investigaciones afines, en torno a la epistemología curricular. Aporta fundamentos epistemológicos para la propuesta curricular de la carrera Educación Básica para la construcción de aprendizajes y producción de conocimientos científicos sustentados en concepciones, enfoques y teorías sobre la realidad educativa  ecuatoriana, y su manifestación en obras, estrategias, discursos y propuestas diversas en y para la práctica educativa.  Los principales hallazgos comprenden la propuesta de bases epistemológicas, principios curriculares, la determinación de contenidos y la caracterización del proceso para la construcción de los aprendizajes.

    Teacher-researcher education in the major of Elementary education at National University of Education (UNAE) requires the study of the Ecuadorian Educational Thinking (Pensamiento Educativo Ecuatoriano, PEE) during the curriculum trajectory corresponding to the different academic cycles. This study is part of the Research Project: Study of the PEE in the UNAE curriculum: Curricular proposal for the Elementary education major (2022-2024). It aims to explore the main epistemological foundations of Ecuadorian thinking as an important part of the curricular proposal that will be delivered to the career at the end of the project. The theoretical construction is carried out within the framework of the Philosophy of education and from the epistemological conceptions of the curriculum of the UNAE Educational Model (2017). The methodology allowed to carry out a descriptive investigation with a qualitative approach and design centered on the method of qualitative analysis of contents to organize, interpret, prioritize and reflect on the information coming from historical documents around the curricular epistemology. It provides epistemological foundations required by the curricular proposal for educating the future teacher-researcher at the Elementary education major. This study builds learning and produces scientific knowledge based on conceptions, approaches and theories about the Ecuadorian educational reality, and its manifestation in works, strategies, discourses and diverse proposals in and for educational practice. The main results include the proposal of epistemological bases, curricular principles, the determination of contents and the characterization of the process for the construction of learning.
