    The article proposes an approach to the current situation of the Catholic Church and theology in South Korea. After noting a certain stagnation in the current situation of the Church, it considers that one of the greatestchallenges of theology lies in the transmission of the faith to new generations, in circumstances many different from the previous ones. From a contextual point of view, the challenge is reinforced by the growing presence of new Christian confessions and sects in the territory, as well as by the effects of the pandemic. The near future will be marked by the impact of artificial intelligence and the synodal movement in the Church.

    L'article propose une approche de la situation actuelle de l'Église catholique et de la théologie en Corée du Sud. Après avoir constaté une certaine stagnation de la situation actuelle de l'Église, il considère que l'un des plus grands défis de la théologie réside dans la transmission de la foi à nouvelles générations, dans des circonstances très différentes des précédentes. D’un point de vue contextuel, le défi est renforcé par la présence croissante de nouvelles confessions et sectes chrétiennes sur le territoire, ainsi que par les effets de la pandémie. Le futur proche sera marqué par l’impact de l’intelligence artificielle et du mouvement synodal dans l’Église.

    O artigo propõe uma aproximação à situação atual da Igreja e da teologia católicas na Coreia do Sul. Após constatar uma certa estagnação na situação atual da Igreja, considera que um dos maiores desafios da teologia se situa na transmissão da fé às novas gerações, em circunstâncias muitos diferentes das anteriores. Do ponto de vista contextual, o desafio é reforçado com a presença crescente d enovas confissões e seitas cristãs no território, assim como pelos efeitos da pandemia. O futuro próximo estará marcado pelo impacto da inteligência artificial e pelo movimento sinodal na Igreja.
