  La fractura de tobillo representa aproximadamente el 9% de todas las fracturas. Puede verse afectado el maléolo tibial, el maléolo peroneo o ambos, siendo ésta una fractura bimaleolar.

  El tratamiento quirúrgico suele ser el de elección, teniendo como objetivo principal la restauración anatómica, la estabilidad y la funcionalidad de la articulación.

  Se va a realizar un plan de cuidados enfermeros, mediante la valoración de las necesidades de Virginia Henderson y la metodología NANDA, NIC y NOC.

  Ankle fractures represent approximately 9% of all fractures. It may involve the tibial malleolus, the peroneal malleolus or both, being a bimalleolar fracture.

  Surgical treatment is usually the treatment of choice, with the main objective being the anatomical restoration, stability and functionality of the joint.

  A nursing care plan will be made, using the Virginia Henderson needs assessment and the NANDA, NIC and NOC methodology.
