El Castillo de Santa Florentina, en Canet de Mar (Barcelona), es una de las obras más conocidas del arquitecto Lluís Domènech i Montaner. Entre las muchas fiestas sociales que se realizaron en este edificio, en sus años de esplendor, destaca la visita del rey Alfonso XIII en 1908. Para la ocasión se realizó una decoración especial del gran salón, convertido en salón del trono al situarse en su centro un gran asiento destinado a Alfonso XIII. Dicho trono fue diseñado por Ricard de Capmany. Según fuentes orales, al inicio de la Guerra Civil (1936-1939), el trono fue incendiado y destruido junto con el archivo del castillo por las Juventudes Libertarias. Sin embargo, recientemente, se ha localizado el trono en las colecciones del Museu del Modernisme de Barcelona.

The Castle of Santa Florentina, in Canet de Mar (Barcelona), is one of the best-known works of the architect Lluís Domènech i Montaner. Among the many social festivities that were held in this building, in its years of splendor, the visit of King Alfonso XIII in 1908 stands out.For the occasion, a special decoration was carried out in the great room, converted into a throne room by placing a large seat in its center for Alfonso XIII. Said throne was designed by Ricard de Capmany. According to oral sources, at the beginning of the Spanish Civil War (1936-1939), the throne was set on fire and destroyed along with the castle archives by the Joventuts Llibertàries. However, recently, the throne has been found in the collections of the Museu del Modernisme de Barcelona.
