  El neumotórax ocurre cuando hay fugas de aire en el espacio entre los pulmones y la pared torácica.

  La cavidad pleural es el espacio existente entre el pulmón y la caja torácica.

  Este aire empuja en el exterior del pulmón y lo hace colapsar. En la mayoría de los casos, sólo una porción del pulmón se colapsa.

  Pneumothorax occurs when air leaks into the space between the lungs and the chest wall.

  The pleural cavity is the space between the lung and the rib cage.

  This air pushes on the outside of the lung and causes it to collapse. In most cases, only a portion of the lung collapses.
