La Real Colección de Fotografía ha sido la última de las categorías artísticas de entre todas las que gestiona Patrimonio Nacional, en ser objeto de estudio y catalogación. Dado su interés como fenómeno visual, histórico, artístico o social de nuestro tiempo, la fotografía ha pasado a constituir uno de los fondos documentales del Archivo General de Palacio (AGP). Ante la imposibilidad de abordar tan ingente material este estudio se centrará en aquellos de interés iconográfico para la capital de España.

The Royal Collection of Photography has been the last of the artistic categories among those managed by Patrimonio Nacional to be studied and catalogued. Given its interest as a visual, historical, artistic or social phenomenon of our time, photography has come to constitute of the documentary collections of the Palace General Archive (AGP). Because the impossibility to deal this huge collection, the study will focus on those of iconographic interest for the capital of Spain.
